AND! I forgot to mention my other Christmas present.

Julia Child's Kitchen Wisdom, on DVD. I watched it all Christmas Day.

It will make you crazy with wishing all of the French Chef was on DVD.

But I learned how to tell when boiled potatoes, which you then cook in a pan to dry, are dry and ready to mash in time for Christmas dinner. And I am back to the skillet-jerking method of omelet making. Finally seeing it on tv has made it clear how easy it is.

I loved it, and the Jacques Pepin New Year's special I watched right after, so much, that Jeff and I decided next New Year's we'll be taking our honeymoon...

To FRANCE! Unpasteurized cheese, here I come!
