I do like the garlicky green sauce with last night's shrimp. A lot. But I think my very favorite thing with shrimp is a ton of butter.

Is it wrong that I'm going through every cookbook I own to plan Jeff's birthday dinner party? You never know, the perfect entree might be in the Andover cookbook. Barbara Bush has apparently served her cold spinach soup to dignitaries in Peking. Who am I to argue with that fact?

The Brazilian canapes in the old Houston Junior League cookbook contain not an ingredient among them that say Brazil. Unless mayonnaise and butter and parmesan cheese and white bread are all authentically Brazilian and I'm out of the loop. I love it.
