I took advantage of my grill to make grilled mozzarella sandwiches with tomato-olive salad from AYIAVK (aka the cookbook of the week). I had made the sandwiches- which are a string of mozzarella and bread skewered and grilled- before, on a grill pan, and I have to say they were much better on a real grill. Except... I used some very fresh very wet mozzarella, and had a hard time skewering it, and the inside of the sandwiches didn't quite melt. So the result was more like grilled bruschetta-- however, with the salad (diced tomato, chopped green olives, minced oregano, olive oil and salt and pepper), it was completely delicious, too.
