The Spring Book Guide at MSNBC is up and I contributed to the cookbook section. I reviewed the new Deborah Madison book on vegetable soups... every time I get a new Deborah Madison cookbook I think, "THIS one is her best ever." This one really, truly is. I have made the split pea soup more than once- I dream about that split pea soup, in fact.

It is also pretty rare that I keep cooking out of a cookbook once I've tried enough recipes to review- I pull out a lot of the books I've reviewed down the line, but usually after four or five recipes, I need a break. But I have made at least a soup a week since reviewing this, and probably will for months ahead.

And before this? I didn't think I LIKED soup.
